What we understand under green logistics is the optimisation of all logistics processes in transportation and warehousing taking into account environmental sustainability.
Due to the ever-increasing rate of climate change we feel obliged to react
in a sustainable manner, to treat our resources sensibly and to combine economic
and environmental efficiency.
By using combined transport on a large scale, i.e. by moving transport off
the roads and onto the railways, we are making an active contribution to lowering
CO2 emissions.
We achieve additional reductions in diesel consumption by using state-of-the-art
engine technology combined with regular driver training courses on economical
driving.
However, we are not only lowering CO2 emissions in the area of transportation,
but also in the warehouses by using intelligent technologies (e.g. economical
industrial trucks) and by reinforcing the environmental awareness of our employees.
We have been using recycled rainwater to operate our truck wash facility for
many years.
